Mike and Jillian were married on the hottest day of the year so far! Thankfully, there was lots of water and shade and I handed out handkerchiefs. I think Jillian would have let me photograph her for 10 hours straight, but with the heat and guests waiting, had to take what we could in the short amount of time. I was able to shoot some amazing shots of this fabulous bride and her groom! Yes, the 90's heat was bad, but they made it so much fun, I didn't notice the heat!

Ric and Nicole wedding at Sacred Heart church, Columbia, MO

Ric and Nicole were married at Sacred Heart and had their reception at the Elm Street Ballroom, both in Columbia, MO. Between the wedding and reception, we were able to go to Columbia College and Bass Commons to take pictures, as well as Taphouse on Green Meadows for some fun casual pictures. We also went to Flat Branch park in downtown Columbia, MO and the bridesmaids and the bride and groom all took advantage of the water fountains to cool off for a few minutes. I loved working with all this couple; they were so fun and had allowed me plenty of time to capture all the special spots and shots they wanted.

Wedding shows, workflow, Flush Mount albums

Well, thought business might slow down a bit after the busy Christmas season, but it really hasn't. I can't thank all of my customers enough for making 2011 just an awesome year! I've been busy the past two weeks working on two different flush mount albums. I love seeing how they turn out, but sometimes working on them seems to take so long. I love it when the brides and grooms love my designs.

Now, getting ready for the wedding show this weekend in Columbia, MO at the Holiday Inn Executive Center. Thank goodness for a wonderful husband who helps me set up and carry everything into the location! I so look forward to speaking with all the newly engaged couples, and those that have been engaged for a while. I'm so thankful, and amazed, that after 20 plus years of photographing weddings, I love my job and can't wait for each wedding.

Anticipating New Year full of photography possibilities

One week left of 2011 and I can't believe what a great year it was for business! I had the most amazing clients, whether it be all of my weddings and the great brides and grooms, or the little babies I had the pleasure of photographing. The fabulous fall weather provided some great photographic opportunities beyond my wildest dreams! I can't thank my clients enough for choosing my business for the photography needs. I loved working with everyone. I hope the new year brings many of these clients back and lots of wonderful new ones! May you have a great rest of the year of 2011 and a Blessed New Year of 2012!
